About

Andrew Lawler holds a BA in creative writing and religious studies from Susquehanna University, where he gained experience as an editor and copyeditor in various undergraduate literary journals. In 2014 he and three friends developed Backburner Press, a small chapbook publishing group geared towards uncovering overlooked writing talent. Post-graduation, Andrew continues to write regularly, focusing largely on themes of loss of innocence and nature—often pairing the two in pieces such as Eel Fishing. His work can be found in small publications, including Rivercraft and Flagship, both out of his alma mater.
